After 38 Years, Hanover's Everything But Anchovies Closes Its Doors

May 18, 2017 04:01PM ● By Linda Ditch
Did you hear that mournful noise wafting across Hanover on Wednesday? It was a sad collective sigh from pizza lovers when they heard the news that Everything But Anchovies (EBAS) unexpectedly closed its doors.

The Valley News reported that owner Maureen Bogosian decided to shut the pizzeria that had satisfied college students’ late-night cravings for 38 years for a long list of reasons she chose to keep private. She said it was a hard decision, but “a smart decision.” Then she met customers outside the door with the news and an EBA tee shirt.

EBA opened in 1979. Besides pizza, the restaurant served burgers, sandwiches, wings, and pasta. The speculation is that EBA lost business to other restaurants in the past few years, particularly when Domino’s opened in Lebanon, offering late-night pizza delivery until 4am.
