Friday, January 15 at 7:30pm The Standby Lear by John Lowell When you've waited for the chance of a lifetime, what do you do when you realize it may have come too late? The standby's dream turns into the actor's nightmare as Augie and his wife confront the choices of their life together. Starring Jamie Horton. Saturday, January 16 at 3:00pm The Calamity by Christopher Wall A deadly plague sweeps across the country, spawning an epidemic of paranoia and fear. When one small town shuts its doors to the outside world, its residents realize that the cost of survival may be higher than they thought. Saturday, January 16 at 7:30pm Trick or Treat by Jack Neary A gripping family drama set on Halloween in a New England town. Starring Gordon Clapp. NEW TO THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL: THIRSTY THEATER The newest addition to our New Works Now Festival features two short plays by local playwrights Marisa Smith (Welcome to the Beekman Arms) and Elisabeth Gordon (The Dog Walker), performed by Northern Stage actors.
