Climate Change and Art Collide
AVA Gallery Talk: Thursday, July 25, 2019, 6pm
Dartmouth Department of Earth Sciences PhD Candidate, Huanping Huang, will bridge the gap between the visitor perception of the natural world through art and the measurable and scientific ways in which the world around us is changing. Focusing on the Northeastern US, he is working on creating regional climate model projections as well as assessing the effects of climate change, issues artists in AVA’s current exhibition, Messages for the Future, found overwhelmingly urgent.
