Get To Know Ford Sayre Ski Programs: More Than Just Ski Racing

Make the most of winter by improving your skiing while meeting new friends and having fun. The Ford Sayre Memorial Ski Council is known for its ski racing programs, but it’s much more that.

Here’s what kids (and adults) can do:

Alpine

Alpine Recreation Program: Learn-to-ski and ski better program, Wednesdays at the Dartmouth Skiway.

Freestyle/Advanced Mountain Skiing: Competitive freestyle (moguls, slopestyle, big air) training and competitions, Wednesdays at Whaleback.

DEVO (Alpine Development Program): Fun, fundamentals, and an intro to racing for kids ages 6 to 8, weekends at the Dartmouth Skiway.

Alpine Junior Racing Program: Training and racing for kids ages U10, U12, U14

Ford Sayre Academy (FSA): For serious high school athletes looking for a full-time training program without leaving home. Academic tutoring. Afternoons at the Dartmouth Skiway and other mountains.

High School Plus: Bridges the gaps around the high school ski team season, offering additional training and racing opportunities, but not as intense as FSA.

Nordic

Bill Koch League: Skill building and a taste of racing for kids in grades K to 8, at Garipay Field and Oak Hill.

Junior Nordic Team: Training and racing program for teenage athletes, U16, U18, U20, at Oak Hill.

Ski Jumping: For ages K-12, all ability levels, Mondays and Wednesdays at Oak Hill.

Nordic Club: For teenagers and adults. Biathlon clinics, back-country skiing, summer training, weekend hikes, technique clinics, evening ski outings, potluck dinners, day trips to a nearby touring center.
