Shake Off Cabin Fever at the Hanover League of NH Craftsmen

Jan 11, 2017 01:00PM ● By Kirsten Gehlbach
CraftStudies at the Hanover League of N.H. Crafstmen is for everyone, so don’t believe you’re not artistic. Anyone with a desire can learn to create something. What have you got to lose? CraftStudies offers opportunities to learn to make jewelry, create a metal sculpture, hand build pottery or use the pottery wheel, sew, weave baskets, and much more.

Whether you need a nudge, some inspiration, or guidance, CraftStudies offers classes at 13 Lebanon Street in Hanover to adults and children of all skill levels (beginner through advanced) in metalsmithing (jewelry making and small metal sculpture), pottery (hand building and wheel throwing), sewing, basketry, bead weaving, and more.

Students can explore, experiment, and express themselves in the applied arts, all guided by experienced instructors who encourage artistic expression. Winter is a great time of the year to experience the satisfaction that comes from handcrafting something unique and beautiful. For class descriptions and schedules, visit www.campusce.net/craftstudies/category/category.aspx.

For children ages 8 and up, CraftStudies offers after-school classes. Students can come to CraftStudies at the Hanover League of NH Craftsmen immediately after school, have a snack, relax, and then go to class. It’s never too early to reserve a place in winter camps February 20–24. In fact, the earlier the better, as classes during this week fill up fast.

A variety of classes to choose from will provide children as well as adults with opportunities to create, plus learn something very important about themselves—everyone is an artist.
