“Twenty years ago, no one went out on the river. Now, it’s a recreational treasure, and with the development of water sports like rowing, canoeing, and kayaking, and the waterfront at the college, the river’s use has increased exponentially over the last decade. An increase in activity at a beach necessitates a community adding lifeguards, but with a river that’s not possible.” We get a boat instead.
