The Mudroom Presents Live Storytelling Event at AVA Art Gallery
Mar 06, 2017 05:38PM ● Published by Linda Ditch
The AVA Gallery and Art Center will host their latest Mudroom live storytelling event on Thursday, March 9. The theme is “Protest” and five to six preselected people will share their personal stories on what this topic means to them. You can also enjoy art by local artists and music from the band Never Too Late.
The Mudroom’s creation was inspired by NPR storytelling programs such as The Moth Radio Hour and This American Life. The quarterly performances feature five people, each speaking for seven minutes on a specific theme. The theme changes each quarter. Thursday’s topic was inspired by Dr. Emily Ridgeway, a member of the AVA Board of Directors.
This event is open to the public and is for adults 21 and older. Food, drinks, music, and socializing begin at 6:30pm with storytelling starting at 7pm. Food will be available for purchase by Pon Thai Food.
Advance tickets are available online and are $5 for members and $7.50 for non-members (avagallery.org). This event is known to sell out. However, if room permits, tickets may be purchased at the door for $10. You may also call (603) 448-3117 to purchase tickets.
