LIVE LARGE! Dino Revolution Opens at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich

Sep 28, 2016 02:38PM ● By Kirsten Gehlbach
Uncover fossils and learn the facts about dinosaurs when you visit the Dinosaur Revolution exhibition, an interactive maze and hands-on learning experience at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, on display now through January 1, 2017.

Visitors can embark on three Mesozoic Missions spanning 150 million years, mimic dinosaur behavior, and “LIVE LARGE” in reptilian role-playing activities. Experience what it’s like to be a paleontologist, find evidence of dinosaur doings, and learn why dinosaurs are one of the most successful groups of survivors in Earth’s history—that’s right! They might not be extinct after all!

Did T. rex live closer in time to Apatosaurus or to your parents? Were dinosaurs warm-blooded? Dinosaur Revolution challenges visitors’ knowledge, presents cutting-edge discoveries, and debunks popular myths. You can travel through time to get a dinosaur’s eye view. Experience what it’s like to crush the ground beneath your gigantic feet as you “Make Tracks in the Triassic.” Learn to fly as you glide through the Jurassic. Then return to the 21st century and engage in the most current dino debates. Testify in T. rex’s defense, save a natural history museum from an expensive fossil hoax, and scale a wall of mysteries as you “Climb Through Time.”

Created by Minotaur Mazes, Dinosaur Revolution is an exhibition as well as an interactive learning experience where visitors investigate all things dinosaurs, ultimately unearthing the shocking discovery that they might still be around. Pterosaur, Plesiosaur, Phytosaur . . . they look like dinosaurs, they’re spelled like dinosaurs. But just because it ends with “s-a-u-r” doesn’t mean it begins with “R-O-A-R!”

Minotaur Mazes says, “Themed mazes are powerful kinesthetic learning tools. The synergy between the physical acts of exploring a maze while mentally interacting with the curriculum engages and educates visitors of all ages and creates a memorable experience.”

Dinosaur Revolution is made possible by Exhibition Sponsor Geokon and Exhibition Supporter Ledyard National Bank.
