Pentangle Arts and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra proudly unite for a fourth consecutive year to co-present the popular TD Bank Summer Festival Tour.

Thursday, July 9, gates open
at 5pm for picnicking. Concert begins at 7:30pm and concludes with a fireworks finale to
the “1812 Overture.” Suicide Six Ski Area, South Pomfret, Vermont

Anthony Princiotti, conductor
, and Jamie Laredo, musical director, with the Vermont Symphony
Orchestra invite one and all to take a journey to the enchanted “Middle Earth” via
symphonic suites and works “fantastique.” The theme of this season’s TD Bank Summer Festival
Tour is “Spellbound” and offers a musical portal to places inhabited by
hobbits, witches, wizards, and more. Under the baton of principal guest
conductor Anthony Princiotti, the VSO will share works
ranging from Berlioz to Debussy to Tchaikovsky. This year’s program opens
with an 80-second fanfare entitled “The Ghost of John Phillip Sousa” written by Vermonter Peter Hamlin in honor of the VSO’s 80th birthday.

Bring a picnic and nestle into the historic hills of Suicide Six
for this family-friendly concert that offers a once-a-year opportunity to enjoy
the splendor of a Vermont summer evening while becoming “Spellbound” under the stars.
