Summer Sunday Walking Tours:

On Sunday, August 23, 5 to 7 pm

Join a stroll through Waterman Cemetery in the Pompanoosuc area of Norwich where graves date back to Norwich’s earliest days.

Lewiston: Norwich’s Ghost Hamlet

Sunday, September 20, 1 to 3 pm

Walk into the past to the site of the former hamlet of Lewiston, part of the town of Norwich located on the Vermont side of the Ledyard Bridge. The houses and shops that comprised Lewiston were bulldozed in 1967 to make way for the I-91 interchange and the road into town was rerouted. The tour follows the old route from Norwich to Lewiston and includes a visit to the railroad station. Wear sturdy walking shoes and be prepared for some good exercise.
