See Your Favorite Artists at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion This Summer

May 28, 2015 03:44PM, Published by Victoria Pipas, Categories: Life+Leisure, Today Entertainment

It’s time to get your summer groove on out under the stars! The Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion at Meadowbrook is offering a wealth of summertime concerts this season. This is the ideal summer venue; originally designed to be a grass-seat outdoor amphitheater, the pavilion has evolved to an 8,000-seat amphitheater. In addition, its location in Gilford on the shores of beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee can’t be beat. Read on, and then make your plans to buy tickets for the concerts you won’t want to miss in the coming months.

June at the Pavilion offers four stellar nights of musical entertainment. The month kicks off with the Avett Brothers with special guest John Prine on June 12. These North Carolina natives have a clean-cut, boy-next-door sound, offering a blend of folk, soft rock, and bluegrass for a truly American palette. The following night, June 13, you can revel in even more Americana with Toby Keith and his “Good Time and Pick-up Lines Tour.” June 20 brings a soft rocker from our neighbor to the north, as Canada’s Bryan Adams stars with his “Reckless 30th Anniversary Tour.” If you know “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,” then you know Adams; that song was one of the best-selling singles of all time. Last up in June on the 27th is the all-time favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd, a band that celebrated 50 years of making music in 2014. This is certainly not one to be missed, especially if you’re a fan.

July’s concert series begins with a performance by Def Leppard and the Styx on July 7, sure to be a jamming rock and roll concert. On July 10, hear from Darius Rucker, who was the original lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the 1980s’ Hootie & the Blowfish. July 12 will be a music palooza: the “Mahadin Festival,” a night of sweet summer music with Dirty Heads, the John Butler Trio, Soja, and the Fear Nuttin Band. R5 will take the stage on July 16 to perform their LA-based playlist of pop rock. Newly added to the summer concert series is Luke Bryan, who will be performing his “Kick Up the Dust Tour 2015” on both July 20 and 21. July 22 will be another crazy night, with the “Mayhem Festival” offering performances by Slayer, King Diamond, Hell Yeah, and Devil Wears Prada. Head back on July 25 for another amazing evening of great music as the “Wheels of Soul 2015 Summer Tour” comes rolling by with the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. Breaking Benjamin on July 26 will keep the rock and roll beat going strong, but if you’re ready for a break, you’ll find it on July 27 with the Wizard of Oz “Oz with Orchestra” concert, featuring the New Hampshire Music Festival Orchestra. This will be a great one for young kids and fans of this classic movie musical. Your teenage daughters would be delighted with tickets to the July 31 concert by Christina Perri and Colbie Caillat. With jams like “Jar of Hearts,” “Human,” “Try,” and “Bubbly,” this promises to be the best girls’ night out of the summer.

August rounds out the last full summer month with Incubus and the Deftones on August 1. Brad Paisley presents another night of pure country on August 9, with Justin Moore and Mickey Guyton. August 15 offers a brief interlude from musical offerings for Camp-a-Palooza III with Bob Marley, New England’s King of Comedy. He has appeared on the David Letterman Show and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and is well known for his comedic musings about life in Maine. August 16 offers a rare chance to see the Grammy-winning Lady Antebellum, a band whose music is loved by country die-hards and radio pop fans alike. August 21 presents Rascal Flatts, whose true American country sounds will also please many. Finishing off the month is Greg Allman with the Doobie Brothers on August 22, followed by Willie Nelson with Old Crow Medicine Show on August 23. If your summer extends into September (and summer nights surely do), then you might enjoy Little Big Town on September 5 or the last summer concert with the Scorpions on September 13.
